The Nightly Rant Episode 426 Show Notes

Mike and Torya open the show by saying everything today is about race. Then they talked about the case of Kyle Rittenhouse’s verdict. He was 17 years old and armed with an AR-15-style rifle when he fatally shot two protesters and wounded a third in August 2020. Mike saw videos circulating online and he believe it was a clear case of self-defense. Mike points out that you can’t take your narrative and apply it to everything. The fact has to fit the narrative for the narrative to fly..

Then they talked about Andrew Coffee trial, who is accused of firing at Indian River County Sheriff’s Deputies during an early morning drug raid at his home back in 2017. He was not found not guilty because of self-defense. But nobody reports on this because it never fits their narrative at all. Torya says she never heard of his name until now.

Then just recently, they talked about the murder of Ahmad Arbery at the hands of these 3 guys. The racist prosecutor wasn’t going to file the charges, but the system does work. She was removed from her job by the voters. She was indicted by Grand Jury because of poor handling of that situation and these guys were charged, sit on a trial, and all found guilty of all the things. They are going to jail for life. Does this mean the system is perfect? Mike says no. The system is not perfect. But it is not broken as many people say. Torya says it is inefficient in a lot of ways and unreliable in other ways. The rule a lot of times seems laxer and laxer that people can get away.

Mike wants people to start looking at these things on their own with an open mind. He has faith that if society will pay attention to this will do that. You can’t argue that the system doesn’t work.  Because the system does work exactly how the system should work. The key point is if you don’t want the law, petition for it to change the law.

Mike then shares his hope for the New Year is that the covid crazy people will start to learn what moderation is. Then they talked about how vaccines work. You have that choice to make. You can’t force anyone to get vaccinated. Torya agrees to everything Mike shares.

Torya then shares his wish for 2022, which is that the media will only report the actual facts rather than add their bullshit opinion in every news article.

Mike ends the show by hoping that 2022 is a much better year than 2021.
